Microcurrent Point Stimulation (MPS)

Microcurrent Point Stimulation is an FDA-approved method for relieving musculo- skeletal and neuro-muscular pain. It combines the principles of acupuncture and modern neurology to improve energy flow along the body's meridians.  MPS currents are 1/1000x less than the intensity of TNS or other electrical stimulation equipment used in most physical therapy practices. The lower amperage is more consistent with the body's natural electrical currents and has been shown to provide more effective pain relief. For more information go to http://dolphinmps.com/mps-therapy/

Conditions Treated:

  • Lower back pain

  • Osteoarthritis

  • Plantar fasciitis

  • Neck & shoulder pain

Scar Release Therapy

MPS is also used to repolarize scar tissue which reduces adhesions and normalizes the body's natural energy flows.  Patients have been amazed by the efficacy of the technique for immediate and long-term pain relief, energy flow and overall health. There is no "time limit"; even a thirty-year old scar or condition can be successfully treated.

This is not a cosmetic procedure. Typical treatment course involves five 30-45 minute sessions. During each session all visible scars are treated as well as the "primary" scar or scar site. Patients may experience discomfort between treatments (such as nausea, headaches or achiness) as the body de-toxifies and adjusts to new energy flow.

Conditions Treated:

  • Abdominal scars from surgery or Ceasarian births

  • Chronic knee pain after surgery

  • Back surgery scars

  • Breast reconstruction

  • Old injury and burn scars
